2010-2011 Season Auditions
Auditions for the 2010-2011 MainStage season will be held BY APPOINTMENT ONLY on August 4-5 & 7-8, 2010, at The Children's Theatre offices, 5020 Oaklawn Drive in Cincinnati. All auditionees must be at least 9 years old.

  • Audition dates and times for adults and children (9 years old and up): Wednesday, August 4 2010, 6pm to 9pm
    Thursday, August 5, 2010, 6pm to 9pm
    Saturday, August 7, 2010, 10am to 4pm
    Sunday, August 8, 2010, 2pm to 5pm

  • Auditions are by appointment only. Appointments are scheduled in 5-minute increments.

  • To schedule an audition appointment please email Chris at Chris.Stewart@thechildrenstheatre.com and include your name, phone number, date and time you would like to schedule. You can also call 513.569.8080 x23.

  • Auditions will be held at The Children's Theatre offices located at 5020 Oaklawn Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45227. There is no TCTC signage outside.

  • Please come prepared with:
    A monologue (2 minutes max).
    A song that best shows your vocal range.
    You MUST bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
    Please bring a picture and resume.
    Please wear appropriate shoes in case you are asked to dance - no flip flops, please.
    You may be asked to show dance ability at the time of your audition.

  • Due to concentrated rehearsal periods, we ask that you don't have any conflicts during rehearsals. In an effort to best facilitate rehearsal times, all those auditioning will be asked to list all conflicts at the time of the auditions. Please take note of when rehearsals begin below, and bring your calendar with you to the audition.

2010-2011 MAINSTAGE SEASON

How I Became a Pirate
This delightful new musical is based on the best-selling children's book by Melinda Long with illustrations by David Shannon. AARRRRGH! Really, who doesn't want to be a pirate? When young Jeremy Jacob and his exceptional digging skills are recruited by Captain Braid Beard for treasure burying purposes, Jeremy thinks the pirate life is for him, until he realizes that the simple things in life, like a kiss and a warm tucking in at night are those that are most important.

Holiday Follies 2: A Visit to the North Pole
Join us for the sequel to 2009's holiday hit. Mrs. Claus asks our roving band of loveable musical performers to take the Tour Bus on the road and celebrate the season with Santa at the North Pole - who everyone seems to forget. A celebration of the holidays for children of all ages, this spectacular production highlights even more of your yuletide favorites from this special time of year.

Disney's The Jungle Book *kids
The jungle is jumpin' with jazz in this exciting Disney classic! Join Mowgli, Baloo, King Louie and the gang as they swing their way through wild adventures and thwart the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan. Specially adapted from the beloved film, this musical includes favorite Disney tunes, like "The Bare Necessities," and "I Wan'na Be Like You." With colorful characters and that toe-tapping jungle rhythm, Disney's The Jungle Book *kids is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for audiences of all ages.

The beloved 1953 Disney animated classic, Peter Pan, featuring the boy who won't grow up, comes to the stage for the very first time! Join us on a magical flight to Neverland with Peter, Tinkerbell, The Lost Boys, Tiger Lily and the oh-so-sneaky Captain Hook. This is a theatrical world premiere!
